     Mr. Christopher Boyle

Christopher Boyle
Mr. Boyle launched his new line of dresses at Fashion Week Cleveland 2010.  As a freelancer Christopher has designed clothing for Jessica Alba, Miley Cyrus, Alyssa Milano, Britany Murphy, Ashanti, Monique Colman, and Mischa Barton.
He has designed for many labels including the Patty Park Agency, Level Red, Laurena Sarbu Couture, and Ntnse Jeans.  He collaborated with Elie Saab of Paris in creating hand beading for Lorena Sarbu Couture.  In addition, he worked at 24Seven agency helping to create looks for numerous clothing lines.  His community service has included work for UNICEF, Up Women's Network, and Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK) (he designed GSK's "X it Out" tees for their cervical cancer vaccine campaign).  He has designed private label collections for Banana Republic, Eclipse Noir, Charlie M., Kitson, Arden B., and Agents for Modern Living.  Christopher was the creator of the clothing line Mblem by Mandy Moore.  Special dresses for Mandy Moore have included outfits worn on the Tyra Banks Show, the ACE Awards, and a concert tour.  Christopher W. Boyle is a native Clevelander and graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.

Najo Creations

The company's name NaJo was created by Little Rock designer Natasha Rawls, who combined the names of her two sons Nathan Long and Jordan Long. Today, NaJo's meaning has evolved to signify, for the fashion forward woman, "never bored, always interesting and fashionable."

As a teenager, Natasha participated in Project Runway Season 5 show finalist Korto Momolu's 2006 Fall Fashion Show at Lulav International Restaurant in downtown Little Rock.  NaJo has headlined several fashion shows across the southeast.  NaJo was honored as "Little Rock Fashion Week 2009 Clothing Line of the Year," at fashion week in Arkansas.

Adored by many for her crochet, classic designs, and laid back personality, Natasha and NaJo have continued to climb new heights. Local and national celebrities have worn NaJo. Currently, Natasha is designing special NaJo outfits for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Diva Mickie James, as the 5-time WWE Women's Champion promotes her debut country music album Angels & Strangers.

Lisa Malanij

Lisa Marie Malanij is a fashion designer, illustrator, and stylist.  Her work blends innovative, modern design with daring conceptual elements.  She takes cues from popular culture, drawing inspiration from cult films, novels, video games, and comic books.  She believes that fashion is fluid, constantly influenced by art, entertainment, and music.  Her collections have paid homage to Dadist Marcel Duchamp, Final Fantasy VII, Fritz Lang's 1927 silent film Metropolis, Camille Rose Garcia's tragic forest girls, William Gibson's cyberpunk epic Neuromancer, and David Bowie's album Low.

Lisa is a graduate of Kent State University's School of Fashion Design and Merchandising.  During her junior year, she attended KSU's New York City Studio.  She has interned for contemporary labels Soundgirl and Re:sound.  In 2008 she worked backstage during New York Fashion Week Fall.  Her ultramodern collection FUTURE PERFECT was inspired by Stanley Kubrick's 2001: Space Odyssey and Cold-War era design.  In 2010, Lisa designed the debut Spring/Summer collection for the label Girl Factor.  She has lent her skills to numerous fashion collaborations.

Lisa is known for her minimalistic intelligence, futuristic aesthetic, and edgy streetwear.  At Fashion Week Cleveland 2010 she launched her CIRCLE.SQUARE line.

CIRCLE.SQUARE is an exploration of the circle and square shapes in silhouette, subtraction, and positive-negative space in a grayscale color pallet.  Strongly inspired by streetwear lookbooks and the unique creative individuals who are not afraid to layer and wear basic pieces in unconventional ways. CIRCLE.SQUARE is a contemporary collection for both men and women, featuring "not-so-basic" basics that can be produced in a variety of fabrics, as well as mixed-and-matched and layered in many combinations limited only to the imagination of the wearer.  [10 looks: 6 women, 4 men.]

Laurie B. Allen
Ms. Alllen has a passion for art and design in all its forms.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the School of Fashion Design and Merchandising at Kent State University in December 2007.  While attending college, she studied abroad in Italy. Here she learned about fashion markets worldwide, developed a deeper understanding of design, and learned the art of jewelry making.  Ms. Allen designed a prototype for an Italian retailer by the name of 959.  In 2007, she interened for KraftMaid Cabinetry.  Some of her ideas can be seen in stores now.  In her spare time she sews alterations for friends.  Some of her other interests include drawing, traveling, photography, skiing, and knitting.

How to Get Free Advertising on Google for Your Fashion Boutique

Courtesy of Susan Smith :: Must Love Boutiques :: May 15, 2010

If you are a boutique owner and your store is not on Google Places, sign up at once.  Why?  Because 63% of search engine users expect to find a business that is located within 15 miles of their home when they conduct a search. Google Places helps those consumers find you.  And its FREE.

List your business and Google displays your address, phone number, hours of operation and other key business information.  You can create coupons, display photos and post videos on Google Places and its FREE.   Plus you can track and measure the performance of your listing.  You get information on where customers came from and what words they searched to find you online and did I mention its FREE.

There is another way to advertise using Google Places and it’s ALMOST FREE – Tags. For less than $1 a day you can make your boutique (currently only available in 11 cities) stand out on Google.com and Google Maps.  Tags are currently available in  San Jose, Houston, Austin, Atlanta, Washington DC, San Diego, Seattle, Boulder, Chicago, San Francisco and Mountain View.

Some other great features of Google Places are:
Business photo shoots
: In addition to uploading your own photos, if you have a boutique in one of the select cities you can request a free photo shoot of the interior of your business. The photos are used to supplement existing photos of  your business on Place Pages.

Customized QR codes
: From the dashboard page of Google Places, if you are located in the U.S. you can download an QR code that’s unique to your business. You place the QR code on your business cards and other marketing materials.  Customers can scan the code with their smartphone and go directly to your Google Place Page.

Favorite Places
: This program was so successful Google is doing a second round. They  mailed window decals to 50,000 businesses (awarded a favorite status rating) around the U.S. The decals have a mobile scannable QR code.  Customer and potential customers just scan the decal and can learn all about your boutique and any special offerings.

Service areas: If you travel to serve customers, you can show which geographic areas you serve. And if you don’t have a storefront (operate out of your house or office) you can make your address private.

One out of five searches on Google are related to LOCATION. Make sure your boutique is found. List today. By the way, did I mention its FREE.  Now that’s a bargain.  Courtesy of Must Love Boutiques.
